After finishing an undergraduate degree in biokinetics, he completed an honours degree in biokinetics at the University of Cape Town’s Exercise Science and Sports Medicine Department.

His research interests include the reduction of measurement error in performance laboratory physiological testing and the application of training techniques to cycling.

In addition to his knowledge of triathlon specific coaching, his expertise in pre-season conditioning and strength and flexibility for endurance athletes is unmatched.
