Mark Stevens

BA (Hons) Sport Science, BA (Hons) Biokinetics

Mark holds Honours degrees in both Sport Science and Biokinetics from the University of Pretoria. After completing his Biokinetics internship in 2011, he began working in private practice before establishing his own successful practice in Benoni in 2014. With over 15 years of experience in private practice, Mark has developed extensive expertise in orthopaedic and sports injury rehabilitation, while also working with neurological and movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and stroke rehabilitation.

A passionate sports enthusiast and endurance athlete, Mark has completed a range of high-profile endurance events, including the Absa Cape Epic, Ironman South Africa, and the Comrades Marathon, along with numerous multi-stage races, triathlons, and ultra-marathons. He is also a Certified IronmanU Coach who has successfully coached athletes across cycling, running, and triathlon disciplines.

Mark is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Cape Town, where his research focuses on the role of cross-training in enhancing endurance running performance. He has recently joined Science to Sport in Cape Town as an associate coach, providing services including bike fitting, performance testing, and endurance coaching.
