About Mike

Mike’s passion for the science of training and conditioning is demonstrated not only his competitive nature that started in provincial rugby, now focussed on mountain biking, but also in his coaching accolades. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town, with several published manuscripts. 

Mike is currently the Head of Performance for the Specialized Factory Racing (XCO) mountain bike team. He is dedicated to working with like-minded athletes striving to be their best. Mike is also a qualified Performance Nutritionist and is passionate about fuelling correctly for optimal performance.
